School of Electrical EngineeringThe University of Belgrade.s School of Electrical Engineering is the oldest institution of its kind in Serbia. The computing center of ETF provides computing resources for students and employees of the School of Electrical Engineering. When it comes to implementation of new technologies, this centre has been the leading institution in our country since it was founded. Following the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Mechanical Engineering together founded the Innovations center. It is a place for commercial development of ideas and projects that have originated in these institutions. This centre cooperates closely with the IT Industry itself. The continuing development of new technologies demands ongoing training to improve skills, especially in the area of IT. ETF, which employs top experts in cooperation with world.leading IT companies, has as a response to previously mentioned demands, founded its own educational centre. This centre provides permanent training in various areas of computing for the school.s students and employees. All of its services are also at the disposal of anyone wishing to improve their knowledge in this area. Petnica Science CenterPetnica Science Center is an unique, non.governmental, non.profit and independent educational institution founded to help and support young people who demonstrate an inclination and interest in science above regular school curricula. The Petnica Science Center is an active member of UNESCO.s INISTE network. PSC is located in the village of Petnica, near the city of Valjevo in western Serbia. The PSC has gained recognition for its innovative methods in science education, and is highly respected both in Serbia and abroad for its significant advances in identifying and educating gifted students. Covering nearly 500 schools, with more than 800 professional scientists and university teachers and with about 3,000 of the best Serbian students every year, the PSC represents one of a few top world institutions that push the rigid school system toward new methods and future technology. Faculty of Organizational SciencesFaculty of Organizational Sciences . FOS is the leading institute for management and information systems in Serbia. FOS belongs to a group of technical faculties, and is a constituent part of the University of Belgrade. It was founded in 1969, after having been initiated by more than 200 organizations focused on strengthening the economy through technological innovation. FOS is unique for its overall and complete curriculum and program of services offered in the field of management and information systems. FOS.s concept in regards to their program, staff and organization is already proven, and they are working on further development. The quality of graduates is well highlighted by statistics, namely that no one with an FOS diploma is unemployed more than three months. The majority of students accept employment opportunities before they complete their course of studies. The FOS diploma is recognized in most developed countries of the world. FOS is equipped with the latest technology for performing scientific and academic research in its areas of development: IT equipment, multimedia, Internet. FOS is the main Internet provider for Serbia and Montenegro academic network. Faculty have established significant international cooperation through organized study visits of professors and assistants, their participation in programs of knowledge innovation, and their participation in congresses and seminars. Besides individual cooperation of lecturers and associates, FOS has established institutional cooperation with a number of foreign institutions of science and education. Scientific and research activities of the Faculty are performed in four Institutes (Information Systems; Management; Industrial Engineering and Quality Management). Within FOS and its organizational units, there is experience in solving particular organizational and management problems. Statistics on projects carried out thus far and institutions and companies they were performed for testify to the orientation, dynamics, and achievements of the scientific and research work. Thus, 220 research projects have been carried out. The majority of the projects were performed for the needs of our companies . around 150 training seminars, and 28 projects offering consulting or practical services were completed. Since 2000, research for 62 projects performed upon the request of 36 local relevant companies have been agreed on, and some have been completed. Mihailo Pupin InstituteThe Mihailo Pupin Institute (IMP) is the leading Serbian and Montenegrin Research and Development (R&D) institution in information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as the largest and oldest ICT institute in South East Europe.
